God calls and appoints many types of leaders in churches. The staff of FBCP are paid for their roles, but some of our most important leaders are our volunteer leaders (sometimes called lay leaders). They serve in influential and beneficial ways, after work, on the weekends, and on Sundays, in addition to their deep commitments to their jobs and families.
Simply put, we could not be the kind of active, unified, and efficient church without them.
ALL our leadership roles are important, but premier among those roles are our deacons who serve our church caring for our families and advising the pastor. Though called "deacons," they fulfill the biblical roles of "elders," especially as they assist the pastor in teaching and making leadership decisions.
Get to know our deacons. They are here to help you and your family. If you are a regularly attending member or visitor, one of these men are assigned specifically to assist you. Ask us in the office if you do not know your "shepherd."
